Meeting with delegation of Thailand

A meeting between CAIRCC team and delegation of the Kingdom of Thailand led by Kanison Paparon, Director of the Law Enforcement Bureau of the Office of Narcotics Control, took place on 12–13 February 2026 in Astana as part of meeting of the Regional Working Group on Precursors.

During the talks CARICC Director presented information on main areas of the Centre's activities, its capabilities in terms of coordinating international cooperation and exchanging intelligence and analytical information.

Parties discussed prospects for expanding practical cooperation, including through organization and implementation of international operations using controlled delivery of drugs as an effective tool for documenting and combating transnational drug trafficking channels.

Mutual interest was expressed in developing direct working contacts, strengthening information exchange, and utilizing the Centre's expertise to coordinate joint efforts.

The meeting reaffirmed the parties' commitment to further constructive cooperation in countering transnational drug threats.
