Meeting with Mongolian delegation at Regional Working Group on Precursors

CARICC team met with a Mongolian delegation led by Mr. Enkhbat Tuguu, Head of Anti-Drug Crime Department of the General Intelligence Directorate, in Astana on 12–13 February 2026 as part of a meeting of the Regional Working Group on Precursors.

During the meeting CARICC Director informed the Mongolian counterpart about main areas of the Centre's activities, analytical and coordination capabilities, and ongoing initiatives aimed at strengthening regional cooperation in combating illicit trafficking of drugs and precursors.

Parties exchanged views on strengthening state control over narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, discussed mechanisms for combating illicit trafficking of precursors, and explored prospects for expanding practical cooperation and information exchange.

Special attention was paid to organization of treatment, rehabilitation, and social reintegration of people with drug addiction as well as exchange of best practices in this area.

The meeting confirmed mutual interest in further developing cooperation and maintaining regular dialogue on relevant topics related to countering contemporary drug threats.
