Meeting with Afghan delegation

A meeting between CARICC Director and an Afghan delegation led by Mr. M. Ur Rehman Rahmani, Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Afghanistan to the Republic of Kazakhstan, took place on 18 August 2026 at CARICC headquarters in Almaty at the initiative of the Afghan counterpart. 

The Afghan delegation also included the following representatives: Mr. Noman Mohammad Naim, Acting Consul General of Afghanistan in Almaty; Mr. Amiri Ahmed Fawad, member of Cultural Department at the Consulate General of Afghanistan in Almaty; and Mr. Omari Wahidullah, Commercial Attaché of Afghanistan to the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the talks parties discussed promising areas for developing cooperation between Afghanistan and CARICC in the field of combating illicit drug trafficking. Meeting participants underscored the importance of coordinated efforts in the area of drug control to promote regional security and exchanged views on topics of mutual interest.

The meeting took place in a professional and constructive atmosphere.
