Meeting with representatives of the Embassy of India to the Russian Federation

A meeting between CARICC representatives and Mr. Nadig Vishwas, First Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of India to the Russian Federation, took place in Almaty on 3 November 2026.

The meeting also involved CARICC staff members and liaison officers of competent authorities of CARICC member states: the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Drug Control Agency under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Participants exchanged views on topical matters related to drug situation in the region, including emerging trends and challenges in countering illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors.

Special attention was given to prospects for developing cooperation between competent authorities of the Republic of India and CARICC member states, including possible avenues for exchanging information and expertise as well as strengthening practical cooperation in tackling transnational drug crimes.

Participants highlighted the importance of maintaining professional dialogue and fostering international cooperation to enhance effectiveness of joint efforts to combat drug threats.

CARICC continues to develop cooperation with foreign partners and international organizations in order to strengthen regional and international security.
